Rod Stewart & Jim Cregan

Sir Rod Stewart & Jim Cregan

As one of the most famous names in rock and pop, Sir Roderick David Stewart needs little introduction. Starting out in the 1960s, Rod performed with a number of different bands, notably including the Jeff Beck Group and Faces, before establishing himself as one of the world’s leading solo performers. He has sold over 120 million records, achieved ten number one albums and over 30 top-ten singles in the UK, as well as sixteen top-ten singles in the US. Rod was knighted in 2016 for services to music and charity.

With a storied career that goes back to the 1970s, Jim Cregan is a rock guitarist, bassist and producer known for his close-association with Rod, as well his work with stars including Katie Melula, Bernie Taupin and Roger Taylor.

Jim co-produced and co-wrote with Rod, as well as acting as his musical director, for nearly two decades. His songs have also been recorded by Joe Cocker, Willie Nelson, Kid Rock, Russel Watson amongst many others, and he has played on stage with guitarists Jeff Beck, Frank Zappa, Pete Townsend and Chuck Berry. Oh yes and Tina Turner, Elton John and Cat Stevens… the list goes on!. He has achieved over 40 gold & platinum records to date, and his guitar solo on Cockney Rebel’s “Come Up And See Me (Make Me Smile)” still sounds alright!

Sam Tanner

Sam is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and producer from West London, who cut his teeth in bands at the age of 12 and has been described as one of the most accomplished piano players in rock music, having played alongside many of its greatest names, including Rod Stewart, The Faces, Roger Daltrey & Pete Townsend, Jeff Beck, Mick Hucknall, Paul Young and more. He is the lead vocalist of soul/funk band, Brother Strut, whose members have collectively sold over half a billion albums worldwide.

Sam’s passion for art developed as a child and has followed alongside his musical career for over 30 years as a compliment to his prolific creativity. A keen pencil drawer, with an eye for fine detail, often choosing photorealism as a style, Sam, much like his choice of musical instruments, is unrestricted and he also enjoys painting in a variety of mediums from landscapes to portraits. In 2011, Sam painted a 60-ft wall mural in the garden of the Royal British Legion, Feltham, in commemoration of Remembrance Day and WW2. Aside from his involvement in the No Strings Attached project, Sam’s most recent art work has been painting the background scenery of a 2,500 square foot room that houses Rod Stewart’s model railway!

Sam continues to perform as a successful singer/piano player around the UK and abroad.
