Mick Hucknall is internationally renowned as the lead singer of Simply Red, with whom he has sold over 50 million records. Known for his soulful voice, Hucknall is one of music’s quintessential frontmen. He has been a longstanding champion of blues, soul and reggae and was recognised with an Outstanding Achievement award at the MOBO awards in 1997.
As the lead singer and songwriter of Simply Red, Hucknall’s considerable achievements include five Number One UK albums, consecutive Brit Awards for Best British Group in 1992 and 1993, and three Grammy Award nominations. The band will release their latest studio album, Time, on 26 May, 2023, with European tour dates scheduled across the summer.
